My tummy makes all of these fussy noises and I just wonder why it does that and if something is wrong? It just growls, roar and rumble. I hope everything is ok. I also want something to eat these liquids are just getting tired, but I am scared to eat anything because I am only 5 days post op., and why does my mouth have such a yucky taste on my tongue yuckk!! I have not been sick or vomited, I have had a few runny BM's, but I was told by the nurses in the hospital that this is normal. Yesterday I got in 82grams of protein, and that consisted of protien shakes water with special K water protein mix and I got in only 40oz of water in, I also took my multi vitamins, and a b12 sublingual. Today my stomach feels bloated, and I am forcing myself to drink or take in any thing and my energy level is low ! blahhhhh help!!

Cause it's asking "WTF did you do to me?"''

This is normal.  You haven't been (and shouldn't be at this point) putting a lot in it.  When will you be cleared for pureed foods?  This will help satisfy it and lessen some of the noises.

Definitely keep up with the fluids.  Dehydration is not a good thing.  Sip, sip, sip and sip some more.

Your stomach is making those noises because it misses the food that has been shunted around it by your surgery. It will go away, but only after making complaints for a while.

The awful taste is ketosis, and that will go away too.

Hang in there, Kid

Those sounds and feelings confused the heck out of me. I didn't know if I was starving, stuffed, or just recuperating. And it is very important to learn these differences over the next few weeks. Pay attention to those signals, and it will really help you in the long run.

The more I think about it, I guess it is like learning a baby's cries, which ones mean "I'm hungry", and which ones mean "I'm wet", and which ones mean "I'm making noise!"

I will be 4 years out end of this month and my tummy still LOUDY makes noises lol.  it's  normal.  And you're only 5 days out, so could still be gas as well.

I had that yuck taste in my mouth for a while....i brushed teeth and gargled alot initially.

Be patient and take your time.....don't rush the stages....it takes some getting used to, but the habits you form  now will come in handy a week, month and year (s) from now.....

and by the way, 82g protein in your first week? thats great; I didn't get nearly that my first week...and keep sip, sip, sipping as one respondant posted....staying hydrated keeps you healthy as well.

Was wondering how you were doing after your surgery. Seems like you are doing really well if you are getting 82 grams of protein already. Congratulations on that accomplishment this early out.
