Anybody have the Ritz wheat crackers? Are they okay for us to eat? I know wheat crackers are allowed on my plan. I have been eating Triscuits.

There is a difference between wheat crackers and whole grain crackers.  My plan was specific about it being whole grain crackers.  Whole wheat crackers, like whole wheat bread, isn't really any better than plain white crackers or bread.

Wheat flour is still a processed flour, just like ordinary white flour.  Products with whole grain wheat flour, or that are 100% whole grain, on the other hand are unprocessed and contain additional fiber an nutrients.  Plain whole wheat bread and crackers just have the same cubs and calories, and lack of fiber and nutrients, as those that are made with white bread.

If you do an Internet search on "whole grain vs whole wheat" or something along those lines, I'm suresure that there are a number of sites that can explain it in more detail.

I only do wholegrains too - once you have tasted them, I don't know why anyone would want white or wholewheat!!!!

I can't eat those types of carbs.  I have Ritz wheat, and it only leads me to more carb craving.  I got into a bad cracker habit about 6 months post op.  I broke the habit, finally, and I now will not eat crackers.

I love the new rye triscuits.  I had to quit buying them because I couldn't stop eating them.
