A friend is just beginning his 6 month pre-surgical diet and I've been trying to give him little tidbits of knowledge that I've gleaned along the way. I remember when I was first out that there were a boatload of different kinds of protein drinks, but now I can't remember any of them because I only buy EAS chocolate.

Gimme your recommendations, people, and if you know of any companies that offer sample packs, all the better!! I want to give this guy all the choices possible as we all know our tastes change after surgery.

Thanks in advance, kind people!!

Hi there. I'm 10 weeks post op. I use(d) ViShape by ViSalis Science, both pre op and post op. Google it. There are reps everywhere. I know my distributor gives out generous samples.

OK, that's a new name for me. Am I correct in understanding these products are not available at retail environments? (I admit that I just skimmed over some of their website.)

I will pass on the info. Thank you.

Yes, I know that and the suggestion has already been made, thank you.

I told him that I'd help him out and that's what I'm trying to do. But thank you so much for reinforcing the obvious.

Hola, chica!! What's shakin' baby?? Damn, you're looking good!! I've missed you, to, Nik.

OK, I'm compiling a list for him and will add your blog to a general list of good places for info. There are so many "experts" around, yet a lot of them don't know squat, KWIM??   I've already warned him that all nuts aren't necessarily good ones.

This is my BFF's youngest son and since his mom passed a while back, I've been trying to help out any way I can.

 Is he very young?

Tell him to get a good whey protein isolate -- chocolate/vanilla, Dymatize ISO-100, About Time, Lean Dessert, SYNTRAX, Optimum Nutrition, Isopure, CHIKE (not immediately post op...) and some PB2.  Mix with a tiny bit of skim/soy or almond, PB2, water, and ice.
By my standards he's young, LOL, he's in his 30s.

I sent him a link to this thread, explaining that he'll be able to read as a Guest, but he'll have to set up an account to post.

Thanks for the info

 You're local to me, right?

There's a couple stores around here that can offer more choices, too...
