who makes their own yogurt?

Lowfat yogurt used as starter will work fine. It's not the fat that makes the yogurt its the live cultures. Make sure your yogurt has those and you'll fine. I make over a gallon of yogurt a week. I use a cooler with a towel covering a heating pad then put my jars on top and cover them with another towel....works like a charm!

 I do, though I haven't in a while. I love it, and the probiotic content is much higher. :)

I have my own incubator now, but I have done the cooler / heating bag method too.
