Water intake question

Does it matter when you get your water in? I have been getting my daily requirements or more but I drink the majority of it in the late afternoon through the evening. Just wondering if it matters.

I don't know if it matters, but that is when I get most of my fluids in as well. I think it would have the most impact if you do workouts or outside work etc in the mornings and run a risk of dehydrating. In the warmer weather we are having lately I have been gardening so I am careful to drink some water while I am out. Also on Tuesdays I workout with the fitness trainer in the early morning, so I push the fluids then.
As a rule during my 4pm -1am shift at work I average 48oz or more.

I had RnY on 1-18-12 and I can not believe how hard it is to get it all in. I think your body would be happier if you can be drinking evenly throughout the day, the water probably would be better absorbed. but I think your safe as long as you get it all in. I notice if I start drinking later in the day I cant always get in in:)

It is important that you stay hydrated. If you are a morning gym rat, you can't wait until the afternoon to get your fluids in.

Personally, my pouch is not a morning pouch while I am a morning person. I have to start slow with something warm or room temperature. Since I live in a hot climate and like an early morning workout, I have to get fluids in early or I'd be in trouble.

Like most of this journey, you have to figure out how to get your fluids in on a schedule that works for you. STAY HYDRATED!

Early out from surgery you will have to work a bit harder on the water
issue. As you get a bit farther out, it becomes more a non issue because
you can hold more. I don't think about drinking stuff anymore at all. I
start every day with a protein drink, late morning drink, and then I
drink periodically after that, finishing a 36-ounce container of tea or
something thru the work day. I drink before and after dinner as well
usually or when I feel thirsty.  I think if you know you're hydrating well,
it's not something to worry about.  My pouch wakes up with a warm
drink and doesn't like much that isn't warm fluid in the mornings.
Good luck!

Thanks! I do make sure I'm hydrated while working out (which is in the evenings as well), and do get my liquids in 99% of the time.
