OT -what kind of crafts do you do?
I do a lot of quilting. I am currently making a twin size double Irish chain for my daughter. It is a purple and pink paisley and reminds me of an Easter Egg. I have finished the top and am hand quilting it, but it is taking forever. She wanted me to use her baby quilt as part of the batting. It is so thick it hard for me to push the needle through. I am also involved in a quilting ministry at my church that makes prayer quilts for people.
I also do scrapbooking and make quilted ornaments.
I saw a great bag made out of an old dog food bag the other day. It would be super easy to do. I think they pretty much just cleaned it out and added a nylon handle. I keep saying I am going to make one, but I never get around to doing it. I also saw some really cute note cards made out of scraps of material. You glue it on the note card to look like a quilt design then you can sew a design along the border of the fabric. I think they would make great gifts.

I've seen a few different ways to make bags out of large dog or cat food bags. I will have to try one some time.
The note cards sound neat. I have a lot of small scraps that aren't really big enough to make a quilt with but could be used for something like that. I haven't thrown them away because I hate to throw that much stuff away. I was thinking of calling a local preschool and asking if one of the teachers could use the scraps for an art project. But maybe I will try some note cards like that. Would you just buy some cardstock or something to make the cards out of?

Card stock would be perfect. I have even used old notecards that I don't really like. No one will be able to see the cover. My daughter used scrap buttons and ribbon on them.
