Maybe? surgery tomarrow

 My surgery was scheduled for tomarrow at 7 am.  got a call from the hospital at 4 and they said that my ekg was abnormal and the anastegiologist was worried.  so they asked me if i had had a ekg before and i told them yes and where. back in 2008 i had one.  so they got those results and compared and said that they were similar and that the surgery was a go but now my time is 1 tomarrow in the afternoon.  Has this every happened to anyone else and should i be worried.  I have already prepped my bowels and been fasting since 9 ......im worried that im gonna get there and they turn me away

I don't think they will turn you away since the anesthesiologist said it was OK.  And I would not be too worried since the anesthesiologist said it was OK - if there was concern, they would have asked you to have more tests before surgery.  They just needed to see that what they saw on your recent EKG was normal for you.

I wish you luck - if it is the same as in the past, you should be fine.  This is why my surgeon makes us get cardiac clearance before we even get a date to avoid these problems.  I had to have an EKG, echocardiagram and stress test.
