How do I know if I have Hypoclycemia?
I don't have RH often. When I do, it is as follows:
I eat carbs or sugar on an empty stomach. Within about an hour or so, but that time can vary, I become weak, shaky, sometimes very sweaty and dizzy. I can tell immediately. I have a blood glucose meter, and I check my levels. On bad episodes my sugar can drop to high 30s. On not so bad it will drop to low high 40s low 60s. I can immediately identify an episode and take immediate steps to correct it. I've had one very, very bad episode where I was away from home, and I have no doubt my sugar was probably very low 30s or more. I don't like having these episodes. If I eat protein and do not have an empty stomach, I can get by with eating trigger foods. But I try not to because, after all, those are the foods that led to my obesity in the first place.

For me, Dumping is more nausea and an over all sick feeling. RH is shaking, sweaty tunnel vision.
I was able to determine by checking my blood. My MIL had an extra meter she let me use. I just so happened to have a dumping and an RH episode over the same weekend, so I was able to figure it out pretty easily.

What you describe as dumping is simply something that does not agree with you. What you describe as RH is some of the characteristics of dumping. Dumping does vary a bit from one person to another, and from one episode to another depending on the amount, type, and form of sugar ingested, but it is still a more-or-less fixed, physiological response, not somethign that is one thing fro someone and somethign entirely different for another:

The symptoms of RH are almost identical but also include a drop in blood sugar (which, as you mentioned, can only be diagnosed with certainty by checking the level with a meter).

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
The only way to know for sure is to check your blood sugar with a glucometer.
Does this happen right after you eat or an hour or two later? RH usually happens a little while later. But it doesn't really sound like dumping.
But regardless of what it is, you know eating sugary stuff makes you feel bad. So why keep eating it?
