Meat never gave me a problem I waited until week 5 or 6. Just take less than you think because you need because you have to chew the hell out of it. Meat fills you fast and the nice thing about it is it stays in your stomach a while. I think I finally started losing when I could finally eat real food and got satisfied and was hungry less often.

Beef is normally a 3 month milestone. If you craving a little taste...go to the deli and get a few thin slices of nice rare roast beef. I wouldn't try steak yet..but when you hit 3 months..I hit it and hit it hard..lol

Wendy's chili was actually recommended by my nutritionist as a very tolerable soft food. I pureed it out of an abundance of caution. It was amazing after so many days of liquids and yogurt.
She also said that some ground beef would be ok if tolerated but recommended that it be 97% lean.

I pureed roast beef... with a dab of greek yogurt to get it nice a moist. I did fine. It was probably about my 3-4week. Edited to add - I REALLY pureed it, not just "chewing" it to puree.....
I have to add the words of warning though that what worked for me may not work for you, and follow your doctors plan. :)
