Possible job doing WLS pre-op psych evals
I did a phone interview yesterday and have been asked to go in next week to do two mock evaluations for a part-time position doing WLS pre-op psych evals for a surgeon south of here (who is periodically getting backed up on the psych evals but does not need a second psychologist full-time)!
This would be an amazing opportunity for me in many ways, especially while I have to continue to work at my full-time IT job in order to pay the bills and finish my dissertation (I quit seeing all but a couple of long-term clients in order to have time to devote to finishing the PhD). The person I did the phone interview with was impressed with a couple of the things that I identified as things that I thought were crucial to assessing pre-op readiness and my thoughts on necessary post-op counseling.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
That would be awesome! good luck.
