psychiatric evaluation
My psychological evaluation involved taking the MMPI and then I had one follow-up appointment to go over the results. Had there been areas of concern I would have had additional follow0up appointments to address them prior to approval for surgery. The MMPI is a questionnaire of a few hundered questions. Many are the same question repeated but worded a little differently. I took the MMPI on a computer in my doctor's office and then the results were reviewed with me a couple weeks later. It was a breeze.

Besides my psych being a COMPLETE moron...I braved through the questioning (which seemed more for his pleasure than mine) and was given a packet with 2 tests and a questionaire to fill out and mail back within a week. After that I came in for a follow up where he read to me the results of my tests, told me if he recommended me for surger, and then he read over and proof read my letter of recommendation that he was sending to my surgeon (who eventually sent it to my insurance) ....pretty speedy though.

I went for my test on Monday. 45 minutes with the doctor. The questions seemed kind of standard.
I had to take a written test after that of 351 questions. The answers were false, slightly true, mostly true, and very true.
I was annoyed by some of the questions. For Example:
My drug use never gets me in trouble at work.
My first thought, false. I dont use drugs. But then I began to think, maybe its very true. Since I dont use drugs, the would not get me in trouble.
So I have no idea whether I will be considered a raving drug addict or a clean hard worker. Who knows with these tests. I was never one to enjoy standardized testing.
