So today was the two week visit and I was able to start on food. Only thing is the doc said eat tell I'm full then stop. But I'm nit 100% sure if I can tell when I'm full yet and I really don't want to find out I'm full by vomiting. Did any of you get an oz or cup amount you could eat at the start?

I was told by the doc and nut that purée foods are not necessary they said as long as you can easily cut the food with a plastic fork then you can eat if you chew really well.

Two weeks post-op, I was able to eat eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt (Light and Fit) and the protein shakes.  However, I could not eat 4oz at a time.  It would take me about an hour to eat 4 ounces of anything. I also had a very hard time drinking the protein.  So I just kept myself hydrated drinking water and Crystal light.  My stomach always told me that I was full and I better not put anything else in it...or else.

My dietician's recommendation was up to 1/2 cup (4 oz.) of food.  Stuff like no sugar, low fat yogur****ery cream of wheat, unsweetened apple sauce.  One half cup is really all I can eat at this point.  I'm to take 15-20 minutes to eat it and not drink 30 minutes before or an hour afterwards.

Good luck.
