"Good" Carbs

I think you need to aim for what suits your lifestyle and your eating plan. Many folks vilify carbs, many folks are much more moderate, some are carb queens. It's really what works for you.

I personally don't have a # I shoot for, I eat protein first (always), veggies, fruits, whole grains in small amounts, some dairy, healthy fats, and something sweet to satiate my desire when needed. But I also eat popcorn when I need to have a salty crunch, and I've been known to have a slice of toast with cinnamon/splenda on it with my hot chocolate at night. It truly is what works for you.

My weight loss might be faster if I drew a line in the proverbial sand and said I won't exceed this amount of carbs per day/meal, etc. But that's not realistic for me. I need a plan that works with me and my goals.

I hope you discover an eating plan that works best for you.

When I was early out I realized I got REALLY CRABBY if I ate less than 120 grams of carbs.

At 2+ years out, I only try to avoid the white carbs.  Rarely eat pasta.  All breads are whole grain (usually only thin buns).  I will eat a white tortilla or a french fry now and then.  The rest of my carbs come from fruit, beans, dairy, etc.  I average around 150 grams of carbs a day.
