Papaya Enzyme

It works really well for me, every time I take it, about 5 minutes later I throw up.  I'm not sure that's how it is supposed to work, but it gets me quick relief!

I probably was never patient enough.  I tried papaya enzyme a couple of times, but invariably if I get chicken stuck I just make myself vomit and I feel better.  But as mentioned previous, before you swallow anything, feel it in your mouth and make sure its mushy enough before you swallow it.  I have pushed food back into my mouth from the back of my throat with my tongue if I get a sense its not chewed well enough.

I have had chicken stuck and the papaya did not help at all, but it did with something else. I am so nervous about chicken. I blend it to death in my ninja now before I eat one bite.  When the chicken was stuck I had no choice but to force myself to throw up.

Also.. tenderize your chicken before you cook it.. beat it all to hell.. I just use a rolling pin because that's what I have..

but I make chicken parmesan, tenderized that way, and then topped with meat sauce.. it's even moist when I MICROWAVE it.

OK...let me put in  in simplet terms...

Papaya - tenderizers fiberous proteins-breaks down tissue

Papaya-  pouches are made of protein (humans are protein) ...when you are breaking down your piece of chicken, you are also breaking down your little tender pouch..use of papaya enzyme is not recommended unless it is an extreme situation

Thank you to everyone for your responses.

I'm only going to have deli sliced chicken for the time being.  After this last episode left me in tears and so sick, I just have to find a safer way of getting my protein in.

I had no appetite today.  All I had was water and a clementine.  My protein levels must be terrible.  I am just so bummed out.  Really struggling with my depression these days.
Should I just drink loads of milk on days like these?

It ususally takes a day to start feeling normal after a bad eppisode like that.  There is nothing wrong with going back to basics the next day.  I would avoid the milk though..milk sometimes has bad effects on us.  If you miss your protein for a few days it won't hurt you...but you will feel better tomorrow and can start with your shakes again.  It is a learning process.

Did you see what I posted about Papaya enzymes...only real emergencies...don't get used to using it..it isn't a good option...

Feel better!
