God knows that I wish that I could afford plastics, but Ill take this baggy skin over being overweight anyday!!

Don't beat yourself up over a couple of pounds. Just remember for one....You aint through.....another thing is look at how far you have come.

You have done absolutly FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! Everything will work itself out eventually. The fact that you are working so hard and have done so well tells me that you will continue to succeed. Just dont give up girl. We didnt come this far to give up!!! Not saying that you are giving up. I just want you to realize just how great you have done!!

I'm only 5 months out. and Since my surgery ive lost 82lbs. Since january of 2011, I'm 4 lbs away from 100lbs lost. My body has changed in many ways and so fast and i'm having a hard time coping as well. My stomach looks wrinkly, so i'm trying to get everythign documented for the small little infections i have so that i can get plastic done there. I have noticed bat wings, and my things seem to have wings as well. Clothes cover it so i'm not terribly worried. I am worried about the summer and the bathing suits tho. What i really wanted to say is that i totally agree with you about the boobs! before surgery i was a 44 (tight) G cup. I was just measured again and i measured 39 inches around my rib cage, she suggested a 42 for comfort but i went with a 40 seeing i know i'll be loosing more. And my saggy tube sock witht a tennis ball in them looking boobs are a DDD. But i found the most awesome Bra from fashion bug called the balconet (sp) and let me tell ya, they lift them babys up and give u cleavage and form. Best money i've spent! They are regularly priced 24.99 but If u watch for coupons and sales (sometimes they allow you to use both at the same time)

 Kelly,

I'm 13 months out and could have written that  post word for word.  I'm at 171 and my doctor also told me last month that I would probably lose about 30 more pounds.  I can't get my head around that at all.  There is a lot of mental adjustments we have to make throughout this journey.  And some days it is just harder than others. We have to learn to accept a new mental body image, also. I still see myself as very heavy in my own mind.  I know from the size clothes that fit now, that I am thin, but it doesn't always feel that way.  This dichotomy of selves needs much more time to meld into one unique being.  Right now it is almost like being two different people at the same time. If you haven''t already, you might consider counseling.  I was already going  before I even considered surgery, but it is some of the best help I get.  Of course, part of that is because I have great counselor.
Give yourself time and just keep doing what you should and eventually I think we will both feel more normal with our new selves.
Good luck.
