The word “manifold" means “many faced". The church is meant to display the many ways that God wants to interact with his creation. When God’s people get this heavenly reality, we can celebrate the differences that each communities of faith displays. Our view of the church can expand to the point that we can work with other churches for, according this passage, one church doesn’t have it all. We need each other by design.
