Abnormal EKG a week before surgery...

I am scheduled for Surgery on March 26th..had my pretesting on last Wednesday.  The EKG was abnormal...UGGG  I saw the cardiologist today and she said the EKG showed poor R wave progression which indicatges a possible heart attack...she doubts that I actually have had a heart attack.  I am scheduled for a stress test and echo tomorrow.  I really hope it comes back normal.  I am ready for surgery!!!  Anyone else have ekg issues??

i'm sorry to hear about this glitch but think of this as a blessing as it could have been missed.   Didnt you have to get an echocardiogram and stress test first to get clearance from your doctors first before getting signed off on the surgery?

No, just blood work, chest xray, breathing test and ekg.

 I had abnormal two days before surgery... Did nuclear test n treadmill n everything was great! They think the leads were not on me correctly or the lotion I had on my body had something to do with it

Had the treadmill stresstest today and echocardiogram..I think they tried to kill me :)  I passed...my heart is fine...Surgery is set for Monday!!!
