Things I don't miss

- bumping the side of the shower everytime I turn (live in a trailer, so it's small anyway!)
- having to do multiple attempts to get a seatbelt fastened
- small children asking "why you so big?"
- teenage boys driving by  "mooing" at me
- being out of breath walking across the work campus
- wishing I could ride a horse (now I DO ride)
- ordering clothes online because Lane Bryant was too small
- the feeling of worthlessness, uselessness and insecurity (these issues went way beyond weight, but it sure didn't help)

I had the small children thing happen. My reply, "because the world needs more of me."

I would do a list but I could do nearly everything I do now as a big person. There are things I've attempted as a smaller person that I did not attempt as a bigger person (but then as a bigger person had no desire to attempt said things).

I think the biggest thing is I couldn't stand to be touched. At all. No hugs, no kisses, no pats on the shoulder. It made me feel icky.

I have since learned that had a lot to do with the abuse I suffered as a child. So did my compulsive eating. So I guess I can say I do not miss casting myself as the victim. I did that a lot. I am NOT a victim. My past has no power over me and it does not define my future!

ooh I was the same way about people touching me... because of my fat rolls, but also my past.  I am super proud of you overcoming the "power" of your past

Well that's where Murphy's Law comes in. When I hated people touching me, I had people (other than my kids) TO touch me. Now...I am hopelessly single.

I don't miss walking into a restaurant and having to scope out the booth before to decide if the table moves, and if it doesn't, which side has more room.
Now, I choose the smaller side so my hubby has more room. I sometimes will look at the smaller side and think to myself, there's no way you will fit. I get in and I fit and have several inches between belly and table.

ditto!
I still find myself looking at chairs with arms and wondering if I will fit... haven't found one yet where I don't! woot!

Good ones. My list isn't very long, as I'm still early out, but there are still things that have changed in this short period.

I don't miss:
- My heart pounding when I climb a flight of stairs
- My ankles and shins hurting when I walk my dog
- The constant worry of, "How fat am I going to let myself GET?"
- Insomnia
- Feeling a lack of control over my own lifestyle
