Most of these things normal size people take for granted. They have no idea how lucky they are.

Want to stop bumping into things in stores & knocking them down. Want the stares to stop. Want to be able to grab a regular size piece of clothing and fit into it. WAnt the arthritis pain to lessen. Want to simply be able to move more. But most of all...want my health to get so much better. So tired of fighting diabetes and hypertension every single day. I am excited/anxious/fearful all at the same time. Surgery in less than a month.

Well one benefit already has been fitting into the theatre seats better. Shaving being easier will definately be a major bonus. Fitting into into cars, train seats, airplane seats without worry. Enjoying clothes shopping, theme parks and going swimming. Eating without being stared at and whispered about. I could go on all day!

I love this post, it is so much fun reading averyone's posts and then thinking about my dreams.
I can't wait to lead the hiking group and for them to ask me to slow down, rather than the other way around.
Cute panties and bras for sure.  Also to throw away all of my granny pannies.
Go to my favorite store and not have to go to the plus size while walking through all of the normal sizes wishing I could wear them.
Turning down sweets and being excited that I can do that, before surgery I couldn't imagine not eating it if it was available, but now I can say no thanks!
Good luck to everyone in reaching your dreams!

i can't wait until my grandbabies can sit on my lap and really be on a lap and not on top of a fat belly.

Just fitting into clothes, and not looking messy. Between rolls, and bulges I never feel put together. Have a regular size towel wrap around me without a huge gap would be nice but what I really want and am shooting for is my thighs not to rub together...no shorts bunching up because they get caught between my thighs, no more jeans with holes from the friction. The added bonus of when i lay down at night to not have my chin and my chest meet would go along way in making me feel more attractive to my husband... Don't get me wrong he has no problem with my weight it's all me...he just wants me to be happy with me...

My biggest dream is going to New York City--climbing up  to the torch of the Statute of Liberty without getting stuck (the stairs are narrow)  OR having a heart attack while doing it. I also want to take up horse back riding, go on rides at the fair with my grandsons, ride a motorcycle behind my son, and put on ice skates again ( since I'm only 3 years from 70--this might be a strtch !!) maybe I should settle for sledding down the hills on our property-lol.

Hah!  The stairs to the crown at the Statue of Liberty is one of my goals, too!  It's why I do the elliptical at the gym!

FWIW, you can't go to the torch at all, and you have to get special tickets for the crown. The whole statue is closed until at least September, and since they don't have an opening date yet they're not selling tickets now.

Hopefully by the time the Statute is open again I'll be in shape to do it !!!When we were in New York last November we had to be content to just walk around the outside of her--still thrilling but I REALLY want to do the whole inside tour. We are going for 2 days in May simply because we didn't get to do some of the things we had planned to do on our November trip--the Met museum, Zabars and a tour of the sites from "You've Got Mail" We also have passes for Top of the Rock that didn't get used.

I want to have enough stamina to be able to walk all day (like at Disney or in NYC or wherever) without being totally exhausted.  I want to be able to keep up with my family instead of slowing them down.  This is not just a weight loss thing for me; it's a migraine thing too. But at least the weight won't be making the stamina issues worse.  I was carrying 140 extra pounds around with me every where I went.  Now it's down to 70, but that's still a lot of weight to lug.
