Ok thanks guys. I think I'll just brink my phone which has internet and music...and maybe my kindle.  I'll leave the computer and euchre at home :) 

 Definitely leave the computer home.  You may want the Kindle for before surgery if you have to wait a while.  (My surgery was delayed because the guy before me had complications. I was glad I had my knitting and my Nook.)

I used a second hospital gown for a robe, and their non-slip slipper-socks.  I didn't want to get my own stuff germy.

Like the others, I mostly slept after the surgery. And walked. And slept. And walked.

I did bring (and use) my kindle. I slept a lot the first day but after that I was awake most of the time.
