Does anyone here take Citrucel with SmartFiber?  Is this ok for WLS patients?

I am having issues going lately.

Is that a liquid or pill?  I can not tolerate any bad taste.

Benefiber is a powder that has no taste at all.  It also does not thicken what ever drink you put it in.  I put it in my coffee every morning and I take it again in the evening. I can't even tell it is there!  My doctor told me to stay away from Metemucil and Citrucel.  Both are fibers that "thicken" when added to liquid.  She said that these types of fiber can actually cause RNY patients "abdominal distrss" (her words).  She said that they can actually create a problem with constipation in some people.  Benefiber is the only fiber one she would recommend.  It has been working wonders for me!  I'm as regular as clockwork!

I keep both generic miralax and benefiber and go between the 2 of them and stay wonderfully regular.
