WTF? I have gained 3 pds?? I am about 2 11/2 months out, how is this possible? I have been doing all that I can? Other than getting checked on mon. to see if I have a stricture, how can I possibly be gaining weight? I am PISSED!

Do you weigh yourself everyday? 1x a week? It is normal for weight have daily fluctuations.

I periodically gain a few pounds and then drop again. The overall trend should be down though. I typically notice these changes anytime the dietician has me make changes. Takes the metabolism a week maybe even 2 to adjust.

I have stopped weighing everyday. Once a week is enough. Your body can retain fluids or not from one day to the next. last week i was up 3 lbs on "weigh in" day. this week i am down 6lbs. I found weighing every day makes me crazy for that reason.

I weighed the other day and was up 1.5 pounds. A few hours later I took a massive dump so I weighed again. Come to find out I was actually DOWN half a pound.

lol.

a million things can make your weight go up.. water, sodium, poop, working out, etc. if this is the first time you've seen it go up a little, i wouldnt worry about it.

Also, we had surgery the same day and you are like 12 pounds ahead of me in the losing.. so shut your pie-hole!

JUST KIDDING!

I know it can be frustrating. Just hang in there.

 Two words: water retention.

You have always had it (and WILL always have it) periodically... You just never noticed before because you weren't weighing yourself every day!

Don't' freak out!  I have had fluctuations like that.  One day I weighed 230 and the next week the scale I weighed 238.  I was like no way.  Then the next weight I dropped the supposed 8 pounds I gained and 3 more.  It will pass.  As long as your doing the right thing, it will all fall in place.
