I had surgery Monday..home yesterday and I am drinking 4 oz of carnation instant breakfast 6 times a day plus 2-4 oz of clear liquid a few times a day between the instant breakfast.  That is exactly what the papers from the surgeon and the hospital say but I just need some reassurance.  I never feel hungry but I drink my liquids right on schedule when my husband brings them to me..I am able to finish them without feeling full but I never feel empty either...I don't know if I should be drinking more..or trying to drink more...I don't know if I should be drinking till I feel full..will I feel full? I have had a few episodes where I feel like i have to kind of burp and its a little painful..is that the full feeling?  I also sometimes feel gurgly in there...is that full?  I don't want to drink too much and make my pouch stretch out/...I just feel like I'm not sure of what I'm doing.

You can't stretch your pouch by drinking.  Liquids go right through your pouch.  Kinda like a funnel.

I have read many posts where people are struggling to get in their fluids...it concerns me that I am not having any trouble drinking 4 oz at  a time..some people say they have to work at it for an hour..I sip mine but I can drink it at a reasonable pace without any trouble.

Well, I don't think you need to be concerned about the fact that you're not having any problems or complications.  I would be happy about that myself.

Haha how did I know that would be your response.  I don't know exactly how to explain it.  I guess I'm just wondering why...when people seem to have so much trouble with it??

Yep - that is exactly how I described it at the beginning... not feeling hungry but always feeling full... this will pass... as for the gurgly, bubbly sounds and feelings... get used to them... they are our constant companions now (at least they have been with me throughout my 9-1/2 months)

:)

Hang in there and welcome to the life!
