Well, I suppose that depends. IS it your TOM? Are you PMS'ing?
If so, I would safely assume that's the reason.

I always gain weight the week before my period. Always.

Back in the day when I had my TOM (had hysterectomy a couple years back) I would gain a ton of weight. It is totally possible you are retaining water. I still do when I am ovulating (still have my ovaries) - I still have all the same symtoms less the cramps and the other. I have not gained any weight since my surgery at that time, BUT I have had less weight loss and my cravings at that time are there.

Don't sweat it and maybe next week you will have a bigger loss.

completely normal. I gain or don't loose the week before TOM.

Yeah, I avoid the scale the week after my TOM, because I usually see weight gain.  Then it resolves the following week.  Funny that I usually lose a lot the week before.
