I got the official ok to move on to full liquids today. I love tomato soup and couldn't wait to eat it. I walked away from the stove for a minute or two and came back to scalded tomato soup...I was so bummed. I thought it was the only can in there but found one in the back. I couldn't wait to eat it!! I hated it...absolutely hated it!! Tomato soup is my all time favorite soup..well it used to be! Weird!! Anyway..what did you guys eat on the full liquid diet??

Did you try the Campbell's healthy request tomato soup, it is 98% fat free.... In my blended diet class - they told us that many people post op don't like or dump on the regular Campbells Tomato soup.... However once they tried the Healthy Request version with low fat or skim milk it helped considerably.
I LOVE tomato soup and hope that I am able to handle it once I'm post op.

Good luck!

I had a lot of, what I like to call, cream of crap. I hated it all. I couldn't wait for solid food. Tastes change dramatically for me after surgery. Idk why...

Yogurt, protein shakes, sugar free pudding, cream of broccoli soup (with the chunks strained out), jello, popsicles.... that might be about it.

Tomato soap may taste better to you in a few weeks.  It's common for our tastes to change for a while after surgery.  I don't know why but it happens.  It may not always go back to normal, but often does after a while.

I know a lot of folks do tomato soup but our group said no, too much sugar.  Try it slowly.

I remember the tomato soup period. It tasted so good. I found the one in the box to be better. It got me through the full liquid stage. Funny..I rarely eat it now.

i HATED tomato soup (really all soup) pre-op and now i LOVE them! give it time, your tastes definitely continue to change for the next few months. i dump fairly easily and have never dumped off of tomato soup (not to say you won't but i see a lot of posts on the thread saying it has too much sugar for dumpers)
