So upset....

I just had my upper GI today and it looks like I have a fistula.. So not happy about this and will meet with my DR tomorrow afternoon. I am scared and very upset. Has anyone had any experience with this? I am only 2 1/2 months out and can't eat. I am supposed to go in tomorrow also for my labs and am sure I will be low on most things since the last few weeks I haven't been able to keep much in me. So frustrated and not sure what to do!
I've never had a fistula in upper GI area - only much lower in the system! They ruled out IBD/Crohn's before you had surgery, right? Those with IBD tend to be prone to random fistulas in the bowels & surgery is usually the best option to correct them. Just follow what your drs say to do your body right & am very sorry that you're dealing with that so early out!! :(

Hmmm.... Never even was asked about any of those issues and now even more upset that this could be an issue if I have/had those?!?! Grrr.... I am so frustrated at this point, I am at the point of wishing that I could be eatign all that food that people are eating with a fistula but sadly can't hardly even keep fluids down. I guess it is just a part of my journey, with my luck I am not surprsied just annoyed mostly as I REALLY am not looking forward to having surgery. Oh well,, better days WILL be ahead! it might just take a while to get back to it!
