When will it stop? Pics Included
I have no regrets about havine my surgery!! This is the best decision I made in my LIFE (beside marrying my hubby)
But I really wish to know when will the weight loss stop!!
Will it ever stop? I'm 1 year post op, I was 292 pounds when I started,
267 Pounds on the day of surgery, and now I'm 149 pounds~ I'm 5'5.
I'm a size 9..just a few weeks ago I was a size 11, I'm spending money on jeans like never before lol. For the past month I have been sticking around the 149-152 mark on the scale.
The reason for this post is because I looked in the mirror this morning and I can see my
ribs!!!!
Is there something that I can do??

From my observations here, about 95% of those who complain about losing too much, they gain it back (and then many complain about gaining too much back). Be patient. Add more calories and the weight loss will stop.

First, let me say you look AMAZING! :) Way to go! I too cannot wait to get to that point. My process has been slowed, as they want me to have more individual therapy and some more nutritional counseling, so I probably will be having surgery late may early June.....I CAN'T WAIT!!
Anyway, I go to a WLS support group through my surgeon's office, and one woman asked the same thing. The leader of the group said that she may want to introduce some more complex carbs into her diet, such as cauliflower, beans, brown bread, brown rice, oatmeal maybe. I'd ask your doctor to make sure these things are ok. Meanwhile, good luck on your journey.....I can't wait to buy some jeans at a regular store! :) It must feel great!!

For most the weight loss stops pretty much on it's own. For some, like me, it takes a little tweaking. I started by adding in more protein, upping things by about 100 calories at a time. It isn't hard to get in an extra 100 calories. A spoon full of peanut butter will take care of that. I finally got to where I stopped losing and I am now starting to gain a bit back, but I got too low. I am determined to eat in a healthy way and not resort to unhealthy eating to gain some weight. For me that means no refined carbs, no sugar and no gluten. I eat frequently, small amounts every 2 or 3 hours, mostly protein.
Most experience bounce back after they lose their weight. That is why some want to lose below their goal to have room for the bounce back. Like the previous poster said, most who worry about losing too much weight eventually worry about regaining too much weight so don't try too hard to gain weight. It will find you, believe me.
