I had a bad night last night and woke with extreme calf pain when I walked.  I had bilateral ultrasounds done, which came back negative.  Needless to say I was discharged an for the most part I feel pretty good.   Has anyone had any problems with calf pain?  If so, what did you do to relieve the pain.

It sounds like it's not a blood clot, which would be your surgeon's major concern.  It could also just be a symptom of a slight vitamin/mineral deficiency.   Otherwise, people just get weird pains when they've had surgery.  Check with your surgeon if you have any questions!

I'm no professional but it sounds like vitamin d. I get calf cramps often because my vitamin d level has been as low as 4! try eating a banana and get some SUN!!

Unfortunately I'm on a full liquid diet which does not include bananas. And I believe that bananas is for vitamin K not vitamin D.  Irregardless it feels more like muscle pain than cramping and I only have it when I walk. Usually when my vitamin K is a low, I usually get a really bad muscle cramp and it can happen when I'm just sitting there and this only happens when I walk.

it could have got banged transferring tables while you were under? or maybe you tensed and pulled it while coming out? as long as the tests look good I'd just nurse it a bit and if not better in a few days call the doctor.
