Well, this is a first for me (of many to come)...
So as far as sticking with the plan, creating new, better and healthier eating habits; I've been feeling pretty triumphant...
Last night's dinner: my guidelines allow for up to 2 oz of turkey, as many as 2 saltine crackers (but no more than that) and up to 2 tbsp of a pureed fruit or veg...
I was actually a little hungry when I sat down to eat...I ate a little faster than I have been...filled up so quickly I didn't feel "full," then overfull, until it was almost too late...immediately stopped eating...just felt a lot of pressure where my pouch and stoma now are...eventually went walking which helped some, but by the time I went to bed the pressure that I had felt earlier had moved to my lower abdomen.
This morning, the protein shake went down just fine as did my meds...managed to eat about half of the breakfast I had prepared (a container of egg-beaters with some fat-free cheese).
A total of three (3) BMs this morning has me feeling more "normal" (defined as how I've been feeling physically for this past week) but still kind of taken down a notch....
I can hear things going on down there and I'm taking that as a positive and I'll count this as an NSV and self-teachable moment.
Anyone care to respond?
Thanks in advance.

I'm 12 weeks post op and it took me a while to really realize how slow we should eat and to really take a few minutes between each bite to make sure I'm not too full before having more. When I haven't done that, I've barfed or felt very uncomfortable for hours (or both). It takes time but I think I am finally getting it! I pay the price when I eat too fast.
