Anyone taking Hemocyte Plus?

I have a question...My labs came back than I'm anemic and my doctor sent me a prescription for Hemocyte plus. His nurse told me that it is just extra iron and I still need to take my regular one a day mulitvitamin twice a day BUT I just looked this medicine up online and it says it's a multivitamin, as well as having extra iron and it says don't take with other multivitamins or you could overdose and have dealthly side effects. Before I looked it up I took one of the Hemocyte plus and my one a day multivitamin both together. I called the pharmacy and asked them about it and seemed like he they weren't real sure and said it "should be okay". Does anyone else take this and if so do you take it with a reg. multivitamin? And if not should I be okay after taking both together? I know it's just vitamins but i'm still freaking out now.
