So I went to the ER last night and found out that I have a UTI. They told me that it should not effect my surgery today. So we drove to the hospital this morning and the doctor cancelled because of it....
I have another appointment to schedule a surgery date again but with a different surgeon because my surgeon that was going to do this surgery is deploying. I am happy but frustrated. The happy part is next time I should only have to do the 2 week liquid diet instead of 4 weeks. Also I can eat food again and enjoy it lol. I am still not going over board with the food because I lost 50 pounds during the liquid diet and I don't want to gain it back. Atleast  I can eat chicken which I love. I am frustrated because I really wanted to get the surgery done so I can be over with it and not be nervous about the surgery. I guess it is better to be safe than sorry UTI and surgery together would be horrible.

Actually your timing is pretty good. Getting a UTI soon after surgery would be bad, too. Good for you for getting taken care of promptly.

Yeah that is what the doctor said also. I knew there was something wrong and that is why I went to the hospital. I am glad that I did too. It would have been bad to have it after I am sure. I am kinda sad because I may have to wait 2 months but oh well such as life lol. I will eventually get it done. Maybe I can lose even more weight before surgery that would be nice.

If it makes you feel any better, I had a UTI after a surgery, and it was possibly the most painful horrible thing I ever experienced, with only one exception which I won't go into here.   I'd rather get hit by an SUV while I was crossing the street for a second time.

The nurse told me that if someone does cancel that I will be bumped up on the list. I was lucky that I took notice of my pains from it. I could only imagine how painful it would be for people that it happened to after surgery.
