Weird aching pain in my lower stomach?
I think the reason she was asking is because pain in the lower abdomen and many times it is by the belly button, you can have a bowel obstruction - the main signs are lack of bowel movements or small amounts that either very thin or liquid and not passing any gas. If a small amount of stool is getting through it can be a partial obstruction.
I had a bowel obstruction and I waited to long to go to the doctor - II didnt get to the doctor for 5 or 6 days - I had gone for the lat time I think it was Tuesay night and by Friday I was in pretty severe pain but didnt think anything of it, I have alway had stomach problems since I was a kid, so I thought iwas just my stomach acting up. I went to get some Milk of magnesia what my surgeon said to take if we cant go - after doses nothing happened. then I tried dulcolax suppositories - I had a refill at the pharmacy. That didn't work. Then finally on Sunday, I tried a fleet enema and that didnt work - I new something was wrong but still didnt think it was bad enough to call anyone on Sunday night - big mistake - should have called on Friday or saturday - I finally saw my gastro doctor first thing Monday morning - I called and he said to come right in - he is good that way. He then sent me for a CT and in less time than I could drive home - 20minutes - there was already a call on my answering machine from my Gastro doctor that I needed to get into NYC - an hour away for emergency surgery. I had a bowel obstruction, internal hernia and a volvulus. I was in bad shape. They had to remove part of my bowel it was so bad. I scrambled to get a ride - an ambulance wouldnt take me since it was out of the area.
it was a terrible experience for me. I hope that isnt what you have but if you are having pains and think it might be something - dont be stupid like I was and wait a wee****il it was almost too late.

At around six weeks post op i started to have a pain around my low right side of my rib cage. I too thought it was a pulled muscle or something still healing from the surgery, the pain continued and finally at around four and ahalf months out i got an ultrasound on my gallbladder and large gallstones were found! I hope it's not the case for you, but you should get it check out.
