For the past 4 days or so after I drink or eat sometimes I get an aches feeling-almost like a gas pain in my lower stomach. Am not sure if I should panic or not? Thought it could be a pulled muscle from all my zumbaing...has thus happened to anyone else?

around your belly button? you should call your wls centre, and ask them to see it. Are you constipated, or passing watery stools? Are you still passing gas?

It was around my rib area then it moved to the middle above my belly button. It doesn't hurt all the time-sometimes if I drink too fast, and yes I'm passing gas and I haven't had steady bowel movements now that I think about it

I think the reason she was asking is because pain in the lower abdomen and many times it is by the belly button, you can have a bowel obstruction - the main signs are lack of bowel movements or small amounts that either very thin or liquid and not passing any gas.  If a small amount of stool is getting through it can be a partial obstruction.

I had a bowel obstruction and  I waited to long to go to the doctor - II didnt get to the doctor for 5 or 6 days - I had gone for the lat time I think it was Tuesay night and by Friday I was in pretty severe pain but didnt think anything of it, I have alway had stomach problems since I was a kid, so I thought iwas just my stomach acting up.  I went to get some Milk of magnesia what my surgeon said to take if we cant go - after doses nothing happened.  then  I tried dulcolax suppositories - I had a refill at the pharmacy.  That didn't work.  Then finally on Sunday,  I tried a fleet enema and that didnt work - I new something was wrong but still didnt think it was bad enough to call anyone on Sunday night - big mistake - should have called on Friday or saturday - I finally saw my gastro doctor first thing Monday morning - I called and he said to come right in - he is good that way.  He then sent me for a CT and in less time than I could drive home - 20minutes - there was already a call on my answering machine from my Gastro doctor that I needed to get into NYC - an hour away for emergency surgery.  I had a bowel obstruction, internal hernia and a volvulus.  I was in bad shape.  They had to remove part of my bowel it was so bad.  I scrambled to get a ride - an ambulance wouldnt take me since it was out of the area.

it was  a terrible experience for me.   I hope that isnt what you have but if you are having pains and think it might be something - dont be stupid like I was and wait a wee****il it was almost too late.

At around six weeks post op i started to have a pain around my low right side of my rib cage. I too thought it was a pulled muscle or something still healing from the surgery, the pain continued and finally at around four and ahalf months out i got an ultrasound on my gallbladder and large gallstones were found! I hope it's not the case for you, but you should get it check out.
