I am 8in months post op. I have lost 106over pounds and I am so afraid of eating to much. Tonight for dinner I ate two soft shell tacos. I don't feel stuffed but is this to much food. Scared to fall back into old rabbits and don't want to stretch my pouch.

I don't know how big the tacos were, but I was eating about one cup of food at a time at eight months out.  How much did your dietician advise you to eat?

Stay away from those old rabbits!

I am almost 9 months out, and I generally eat a little less than a cup if I tolerate it well.  If it is very dense, I can't eat a cup.  I had an enchilada casserole the other night, and ate about 3/4 cup of that.

I am able to eat more than a lot of people it seems. And I don't mean cramming full, just satisfied. I haven't had soft tacos, but I had a taco bell crunchy taco and a bowl of their pintos and cheese. Satisfied, not "full" - didn't even get my full signal.
I can eat steak and shrimp in the same sitting.

We just have to be a little more particular about what we eat (more dense protein, low cal veggies) and pay attention to eating - don't eat in the car, at your computer, watching TV etc. My NUT suggested not taking the full 30 minutes to eat, but rather go for 15-20 (not hogging it down, eating slowly and stopping).

Also, talk to your NUT if you have one, make sure the rest of your foods are in line with where they want you to be.

I was wondering how you measure your solid foods.  I see a lot of posts for 3/4 cup or 1 cup of dense foods but I have been measure by the ounce.  Can you guys tell me how you measure those foods by the cup?
