Thick Saliva

I'm about 6 months out from RNY, doing well, with the occasional slip up.  Lately I've noticed that about 5 minutes after I eat, I get a build up of thick saliva in the back of my throat.  It's not a big deal, it goes away after a little while, but I'm just curious if anyone has insight on what this is.  Or, have you experienced it yourself?  Thanks.

When I did this I would usually "foam"........throw up thick foam........it was usually when I ate too much, too fast, or too spicy.   Still, after 16 months I have to watch this.

Foamies. I get it if I wait too long in between meals, causing me to eat too fast.

Exactly as the others said. I would try eating slower and chewing more. It happens to me about 1 time a month and it's always when I wait too long between meals and forget to pause between bites and chew chew chew.
