I hope things get moving tonight and you don't have to have surgery. I'll be thinking of you! Please check in as often as you can.
I was 3 days out & had complications. I would take a bite & start gagging. They thought my pouch needed rest. I ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks, I had not eaten anything in 3 weeks. They finally went in and did exploratory surgery after running tons of test that all showed NOTHING.
I had scar tissue run through my gut. It tied my intestines into little sausage links. I had knots. They unkinked my insides & took out the scar tissue. They also removed my Gall bladder as a precaution. I got out of surgery & felt better within 4 hours. I haven't looked back since.
Make sure they fix you! I had to go back & forth day after day to the ER. At $100.00 a visit it started to add up. If they would have listened to me from the beginning when I said something was wrong, I would have been admitted the first day instead of 1.5 weeks later. I had to rest upstairs in a bed for 2 weeks @ $300.00 a night - Because they thought my pouch needed to rest. Well, they were wrong. My pouch was fine. My intestines were full of food that was stuck & couldn't move. I wasn't pooping because the food wasn't going through my system.
Read my profile. It was back in May of 2008.
