Dinner

I am planning a trip to NY to spend Mother's Day with my family.  Every year since my daughter has been born I have always done a Mother/Daughter Dinner at my mother's church.  Unfortunately (timing wise) I am still on a soft/pureed diet.  They do not have a blender at the church and I really do not want to try some regular foods yet, in fear that they might get stuck and cause discomfort, which may cause me to go home early.  Anyhow, does anyone have any suggestions on what I could have.  Presently, I am only able to eat about 1/3 of a package of oatmeal and about 4 ounces of cottage cheese at a sitting (breakfast) just to give you an idea on what I could eat.  I am having some trouble with tuna fish at times, so I think I will stay away from that for that meal.  I was thinking tomato soup, cottage cheese and some canned fruit (I can chew this up enough that it doesn't bother me).  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I would like to have something a little different.  Thanks for all your help.

I think you've got the right idea to fix something to take with you to eat. I don't know what's on your plan for soft/pureed diet so you might want to refer back to it. But the things you mentioned sound ok with the exception of the fruit. It's not considered soft/pureed as far as I know, but it depends on the list you should have gotten. Good luck! I hope you have a good time at the event.

Be well, and always - take care of you!

Unfortunately they will know because they will be eating ham or chicken.  Anyhow, most of them know already and it doesn't bother me.  Not to mention, that me and scrambled eggs don't get along to well.  Thanks for the input though.
