Help! What could this be????
Today I was cooking dinner when a pain that seemed to start in my stomach and radiated up into my eshophagus. The only way to describe it was that It felt like someone had started a fire in the pit of my stomach that became more and more intense. I had shortness of breath but tried to breath my way through it. I felt like I was going to pass out It lasted about 5 minutes.
This is the second time this has happened in about 2 months. I had surgery in RNY in Nov of 2009 and have had my gallbladder removed in 2011.
You might wanna call your doc Monday since it happened more than once. Or if it happens again and the pain is severe, you might wanna go to the ER.
I understand why people wanna post on here about symptoms they have and hope someone can tell them what it is, and I've posted these kinds of questions too, but there really is no way someone can diagnose you online. Even if someone else had a pain that felt just like what you are describing, their pain might have been caused by something else. I'm not trying to discourage you from posting about your symptoms, I think it's great to get all the info you can. Just please don't assume it's not serious if someone else had a similar pain and it wasn't serious. Or the other way around.

I'm just over a month post-op and I'm pretty sure that my internal workings are still settling down to one degree or another...and for that reason alone, I have no idea what may or may not be "normal"...so, I keep tabs on the 'symptoms' and if any are persistent, I make note...but thus far, anything I've felt out of the ordinary was usually mitigated by a bowel movement, passing of gas or taking in fluids....
