Help!!!

OK I'm in my 3rd month of diet which i have to have 6 for insurance ... well my second month i stopped breastfeeding and i hurt my knee and can walk a little not fast . well i when to check in and i gained 6 lbs!!!  Now to top it off  I have stopped smoking for 8 days  And I'm soooo proud but i cant stop putting things in my mouth.  I have been drinking water like mad more than 100 oz a day which is really good but I'm so worried about going next week to check in and see more on the scale. 
I'm stopping when I'm full and trying to watch what i eat but when I want that cigarette really bad i have been eating way too much.
I have an MRI for my knee on Wednesday and appointment for Friday to maybe schedule surgery I'm just really worried and need some help

 Do you like the taste of liqourice?  When i quit I went to a holistic store and bought some liqourice root. I sucked on that for like a month. And it was so easy to quit. Maybe it will help you.

When I quit smoking I cut a straw in half and when I needed something in my mouth I would inhale deeply though the straw and I guess the deep breathing calmed me and also made me feel a little dizzy like a real cig!  Give it a try and hang in there.  Right now the most important thing is not to smoke!!

I helps when i keep my mind busy. If i have free time I get on here and it helps or play a game on my phone but you r right deep breathing does a world of good.  I just keep counting the days i have done and think it will be better tomorrow i just need to stay OUT OF THE FRIGERATOR!! thank you guys for the help

Maybe stock up on sugarless gum and keep brushing your teeth.  I never want to eat right after brushing.

 I'm not sure how your dr. And nut are... But I had non stop sinus infections for about 3 months.  During that time I was on predisone and my weight increased.  My nut was super understanding.  I just made sure to document everything I ate.  After I had a lengthy break from the steroids I lost some weight and she was happy with that. My advice would be, to keep on documenting and just be verrrrrry honest with her about your bfing and smoking.  Be honest about your bad choices too.  This is supposed to be a learning process, not just a way to get surgery, ya know?  So hopefully you have a cool nut!  Kudos to you for all these positive life changes!  You go girl:)

I too, am in my 3rd month of the 6 month requirement.... my surgeon wants us to lose approx. 10% of our pre-surg weight... I have only lost 8 lbs in the first 2 months... I am supposed to lose 28. They basically said that as long as I don't Gain any from the first weigh in, then they will still do the surgery. My advice is to be very honest with your "NUT" and document all you eat. I keep mine logged in at " myfitnesspal.com" , it is awesome and my NUT can go on and see what I am eating each day...... Can't help with the smoking part, I don't smoke.... but I am sure you will succeed on that too.... but give yourself a break... that's alot to do all at one time...
