OMG, today my fellow teachers went to Wendy's and I was sure I wasn't going to be able to eat anything! I'm still on cottage cheese, and soft eggs... Week 4 diet. Anyway, week 3 I was given the go ahead for a small sweet potato! I saw it on the menu I was sooooo excited! I got it plain with no butter or anything. Definitely hit the spot! Yay! I can go to a fast food place with friends! I'll bring my Molly McButter or spray next time.

If you ever get the go-ahead for chili, Wendy's chili is extremely pouch-friendly and packed with protein.

Per my NUT, the small 99 cent chili contains 15gms of protein.  I have one sitting here right now waiting for me to puree and devour it....lol.

I will not set foot in a fast food place again. " Ya though I walk through the valley of death....." Those places are what helped get me fat. First it is the chili, then the sweet potato, then just a couple of fries with a friend, then half a burger, then a small burger. You get the picture? I am an alcoholic and I do not go into bars or taverns anymore. I would not tempt myself. That is just me, but there are plenty of other places to go that are more fatso friendly.

I agree with you Larry. I don't even want to go into a fast food place. Since my surgery I have found I have an addiction to food. Each day has its struggles. But I am learning to find other ways to deal with emotions and such. There were plenty of times I went into a fast food place for a snack and came out with a "biggie" sized meal. And kept eating when I was full.  Nope, not me, not ever again. I pack my protein shake, and baby food bananas or a yogurt on days I have to run into the big city for Dr appointments ect.

I think this is one of those areas where we are all different.  Fast food places did not help me get fat.  I very rarely ate at them because they had little I liked.  I did like french fries so I would eat those from a fast food place once in a while.  But I don't eat meat and most fast food places don't have many vegetarian options.  Getting a sweet potato at Wendy's once in a while isn't going to lead to me eating fries, then burgers. But if that's what it will do to you, then yeah, you should avoid it.

The chili last at least 2 days for me.  I do like it though.  Didn't know about the sweet potatoe so will get one in the future.  We don't go there enough to keep up with what is new.   I've never been a big burger/fry fan.
