I have been having the worst problems with two important things.....vitamins and water intake.  Could someone please give me some advice on how to get these in.  I start out with all good intent and before I know it the day is over.

The doctor had prescribed me prilosec twice daily x1week and then once a day ongoing.  Well.....I started the once a day yesterday and ended up with horrible abdominal pain (right under my sternum) x3 hours yesterday and even after taking it this morning it wasn't much better, it was horrible.  Not to mention I had a migraine, which lasted from about 7pm last night until 2pm today.  I called my doc and asked for an increase in my prilosec back up to twice daily and some zofran for the nausea.  I had some phenergan but i just started my summer semester and do not need to be coming home and going to sleep.  Anyhow, feel much better and was actually able to eat turkey sausage (breakfast) and some three bean salad with minimal pain/nausea.

Thanks in advance for your help...

My pouch was always gassy feeling, and I found that room temp fluids, or warm tea, coffee always sat better. I also take simethicone (gas-X) routinely to help. Your pouch is still adjusting, and it does get better, just keep working at the fluids as best you can.

What's making it hard to get those things in?  How about making a schedule?  Plan ahead for when you'll take each dose of vitamins.  I match mine up to meals, except my last dose, which is at bedtime.  I don't forget to eat breakfast or lunch or dinner, and I don't forget to go to bed, so as long as taking my vitamins is a routine part of those activities, I don't forget them.

You can do a loose schedule for water, too.  Start with eight ounces of tea before breakfast.  Then plan to get in 16 ounces between breakfast and lunch.  Another 16 between lunch and an afternoon snack.  And so on.  You can set alarms or reminders on your phone or computer to help you stay on track.

I'm not able to help.... too new, my surgery was last week. I'm tagging on with a different issue since my computer isn't letting me start a post. I have already noticed that since I actually started writing down my water and everything else I've been able to stay ahead on the water.

I'm hoping for help with my nausea. I haven't vomitted, don't really feel like I might, but for the past three days I've had this ball of nausea in the top center of my belly. Nothing helps except getting up and moving. .. it doesn't help until I sit back down again for a bit. But the relief isn't total and doesn't last but a few minutes. It's really bad first thing in the am... in fact I can't sleep very long because of it. Though this isn't severe, the constancy and type of feeling makes it hard to deal with. .. to the point of regretting the surgery. I keep telling myself that it is temp and will get better but since I don't know when or what causes it, it is really discouraging. I've read posts, tried everything, am not dehydrated, it isn't what I'm eating, I'm following all the rules. ...

Has anyone else had this? Know what causes it? How to get rid of it? Have any ideas?

Thx for letting me butt into the conversation.
