This is fairly common sense and nothing too unique, but when I'm shopping and there are multiple varieties of something I want, I use the protein content as the deciding factor. For instance, when buying canned soup, I will spend 15 minutes surveying the nutrition labels and choosing the highest protein varieties possible.

What a great idea. I am going to do that. Why is it after surgery most people cannot tolerate the shakes? I have some great tasting protein shakes, and I take it slow, but it overwhelms me with the sweetness. Thanks, Jane

I also like the Special K protein flavor packets. If I mix one packet into a 16.9oz bottle of water, and do that 4x a day, that's 68oz of water and 20g of protein. And it tastes great and goes down super easy. Tastes like Crystal Lite. Since I'm drinking water ANYWAY, I might as well get my protein while I do it.

I'm interested in the Cytomax as well! I do use the Nectar Lemonade, mixed with water. It takes on the flavor of anything (Crystal Light, tea, ect) that you add to it.
I compare most things I consume with protein in mind. I use one protein drink a day and use 1 1/2 scoops in the same amount of water.
I use protein enriched cereal in my greek yogurt in the mornings. my entire 3/4 cup breakfast gives me 23 grams of protein between the yogurt, cereal, fruit and flax.
My meals are still 90% protein forward to this day, I get over 100 grams from my food alone and just use the protein drink (35g) as an added bonus. If I don't hit 120-150 grams my protein labs are not where I want them to be.
I like the salt shaker idea, might hit the dollar store later and pick up a few!

That is such a good idea. I seem to have trouble getting all my calcium in. I have the horse pills right now. I wonder if I were to take a few of them and crush them up to a fine consistency and put that in a shaker, I could do the same thing. As the vitamin expert, do you think it would be bad if I were to get more than the 1500mg a day that is recommended by doing a little shaking? I would think it would be better to be over than under.
