Liquid diet tomorrow!
RNY on 06/21/12
Greetings everyone! I am new to OH, although I feel like I've been "stalking" all of you since February. My surgery is scheduled for June 21st and I start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. I am more nervous about the liquid diet than anything else at this point! Self-control and discipline have not been my strengths when it comes to food, which is what has gotten me to this place to begin with. It is odd - I am confident I will get through this phase of the process successfully but, at the same time, I am so nervous as to how it all will go! I guess I'm just looking for support and encouragement as this whole process becomes VERY real to me!

Hey Amy!
I have surgery scheduled for June 26th, and started my 3 week liquid diet 2 days ago. It has been really rough! I have been trying to stay busy and my health coach encouraged me to stop exercising, due to Very low calorie intake, and to get to sleep a lot earlier. She also suggested my husband and kids camp in the back yard the next 3 weeks as I may get very cranky LOL. Hope all goes well for you! I will keep you in my thoughts and know that you are not alone!

It's two weeks. You can do just about anything for just two weeks, right?
It'll be hard at times. You'll be hungry sometimes. You'll want to chew something. You'll be cranky because you can't. Just tell yourself all those things are OK. You will not starve to death. It will not kill you. It's just something you have to get through to get where you want to go.
