Sex after surgery

I'm in the waiting period where I have done everything that the insurance requires, but waiting to hear if I have been approved (I hope so - I went through all this once before and got declined).  A friend that is also going through the surgery asked me today if I thought my sex drive would be higher or lower after surgery.  I hadn't really thought about it ... input?!?!

It varies. Some folks experience a downturn in interest due to not feeling well, etc, some have more interest, and some stay the same.

I think it varies from person to person.  Mine didn't really change either way.

Well, my hubby's not currently here, so I can only speak from the perspective of a geographically single gal with a drawer full of AA's.

Because of the surgery, I have more energy,
Because I have more energy, I work out more often.
Exercise + weight loss helps my body look better
A better body makes me feel sexy.
Feeling sexy = increased sex drive.

My confidence is higher, my energy is higher, and my body feels healthier. All good.

But for a lot of people, they may struggle with fatigue, complications, insecurities about their skin or loose fat, communication issues with their partner, jealousy or resentment issues, and the inability to wrap their head around their new body. So there are a lot of factors to consider in your own life and marriage that would weigh into whether your drive would be higher or not.
