OT: Relay for Life was awesome!

Just in case anyone was interested.... We stayed at Relay from 1p-8p, walked most of the time there & had a blast. A couple people from my support group contributed to our fundraising and we surpassed our goal! I was really blown away by their generosity - enough to actually drag out the nice stationary & write thank you notes! We'll plan on doing this again next year, maybe even fundraise by selling stuff too; I was thinking of googling how to make home-made cat treats in honor of our Princess. It seemed like everyone and their cousin was selling baked goods but I'd hate to make a ton of something and then be stuck with too much goodies at home. Though I could find out an agency that would be willing to take homemade foods as a donation, so it'd be good all around! Ah, well. That's next year. I gotta start thinking about NEXT WEEK! Saturday is Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis walk in DC and only $10 into my goalso gotta get my butt in gear about raising money by next Saturday!

So here's a photo of "Team Farris":

Great work! I'm glad you had so much fun and you look fantastic.

I hate fundraising, that's why I only do it once a year. I find it hard enough to raise the money for both my husband and me for the one half, but CCFA is too important to us to not do it. Good luck on your fundraising.

I totally agree with you Jan - CCFA is soooo important AND fundraising is a PITA! I'm so not assertive/extroverted, so it really takes a lot for me to beg off of family & friends.... but worthy causes!
