New Diet Day 1
So after busting out a 9 mile run this morning I am trying to embrace my new diet.
I have slowly since last friday adding more carbs slowly mainly in the form of granola bars and whole wheat crackers type things. Yesterday was a rest day training wise so every carb I ate was banked and today it paid off I believe. My sweat was not as acidic and didn't burn my eyes to the point of being painful, the ammonia smell was not as bad as it usually is.
So in my first day following my new guidlines I am finding it some what difficult to decide what carbs to eat that bring the most caloric bang for the bug is not easy. Typically I look and say SALAD!!!! well then when you get down to it the lettuce and stuff really don't bring many calories to the party. My choices so far today have been not to bad oatmeal, half a whole wheat bun.
So half way through the day I am at about 50% of the way through my allowed calories
They are 51% carbs (goal is 50)
Protein is only 16% (this needs to be 30% but I am above close to 100grams already)
Fats are 32% so far (Cashews and PB will kill ya every time!)
Seeing what the rest of my day is probably going to be like I know the protein % will jump and the fats % will drop as I probably don't eat many fats at home.
so far not to bad.
