Frustrated

Okay...
A week ago my surgeon's office called with GREAT news. Cigna no longer requires a 6 month diet, the rquirement is now 3 months. Since I have already met that, they cancelled my future diet appointments. They said that they would be submitting my paperwork "in a couple of days". So, I called Monday only to be told that no, it had not been submited yet and that it would be submiited that day. I waited 2 days to call the insurance company (yeah, I am being impatient.. do you blame me?). Cigna says that they have not received it yet. So, I call the doctors office. The VERY SWEET lady who helped me told me that the file was still sitting on the desk (I guess of the "submitter") and that they hope to have it submitted by Friday. Call back then.
I honestly know that I am just being impatient and that I need to be grateful that the process has been moved up 3 months but I can't help it. I wanna seat on the losers bench...
Vent over, thanks for listening...

Patience is hard at this time, when you're so anxious to have the surgery isn't it. Just relax about it - and it will be here before you know it.
To get your mind off the paperwork, you could start developing some of the habits that you'll need after surgery - high protein, no drinking with meals, detox off the diet sodas etc. All of these will make your post-surgical experience easier and more successful.

I do not blame you in the slighest. I am the most impatient person you will meet, on a good day, factor in this tug of war between surgion, ins & pcp ... I am barely tolerable.
While I agree that we have to lighten up a bit do not become too complacent. It has taken me 3 months just to get my consult & that is WITH me on everyones case. (I have one incompetent twit at my pcp's office that is good at getting out of working.)
So, in the mean time, start working on new habits (say good bye to old ones) and then call the dr again!
GL!
