Got yours in?

I just have my iron and C before bed.  I even did my B12 shot today!  Unfortunately, I also took my last Calcet creamy bite, which probably means I will have trouble with that third dose of calcium tomorrow.  I gotta order more.

I only have 2 calcium chews left to take tonight.

I don't know if I did the right thing or not, but the Weight Loss Control Center offered me a choice
of getting a B12 shot today or waiting to see how my labs come back.  I chose to wait, as I'm
not the biggest fan of needles.  What do you think?

It really depends on what your B12 level was before surgery.  I don't know if you got a full set of labs done pre o*****t.  I didn't.  It just didn't occur to me at the time and my surgeon didn't order them.  Just a very basic panel of stuff.

You are going to need B12.  You don't have enough intrinsic factor in your pouch to absorb it from your multi or from food you eat.  If you don't like needles, you could use a sublingual that dissolves under your tongue or you could use the prescription nasal spray.

The longer you wait to start your B12, the lower your B12 level will get.  That just means that, when you do start it, you may need to take extra for a while to get your level back up.  So if you skip the shot right now, when you get your labs back, you may end up needing to do shots once a week for a while instead of once or twice a month.

By the way, if you do the B12 shots subcutaneously, you can use a very small needle and it does not hurt at all.
