Phantom Smells

I have had a real issue since surgery with phantom smells. I really think this has to do with my head hunger (which I have been diligently ignoring) and it is driving me NUTZ!!!! The other day, everywhere I went, I smelled buttered popcorn and OMG it smelled good (and no place I went had any popcorn btw).

Today, I smell cheese pizza EVERYWHERE. Even right now, laying in bed- it smells like I am in a friggen pizza hut!!! I don't even like cheese pizza, but this is really starting to get to me. GRRR

Anyone else ever have this issue or am I totally weird?

 I haven't had the sugery yet, but trying to watch what I eat and such I smell things as well. As weird as this sounds I smelled popcorn all day at work and I work at a gas station lol. I think we all get them here and there.

My nose has always been sensitive but now it is extra sensitive. I can smell food everywhere. I smelled kentuky fried chicken inside Tim Hortons so not all I smell is real. My husband went into a sub shop and when he came home I asked him if he had eaten a sub because he smelled like fresh baked bread. Sometimes I wish I could not smell at all.

After surgery everywhere I went smelled like top ramen. You know, cup o' noodle? By the end of my 2nd month I hated cup o' noodle! Even now, can't stand it. Everyone everywhere smelled like it. My poor husband had to sit as far as possible from me cause he smelled like it. Thankfully, it ended and everything is back to normal, but for awhile I thought it would never end.

I had the same thing but my smells were AWFUL like garbage or sewage, which upset my stomach... I would much rather have smelled food! It took about 2 months but they went away.
