Bowel blockage/leak

 I had 2 bowel blockages and a leak just days after my RNY. (4/30). The surgeon removed part of my small intestine to remove the blockages (twice). I am having problems keeping food down, even keeping water down. (Luckily I am still on the feeding tube). So I am having a scope done on Tuesday to see if I have a stricture or something else going on. My problem is, I am bleeding sometimes when I have bowel movements. TMI I know.  Its not alot of blood, and not all the time. I don't want to tell my hubby because he will freak out and demand I go to the ER. I am thinking just wait til Tuesday and talk to my surgeon then. Anyone had any experience with this before? 

If you are not sure whether to be concerned, give the surgeon on call a ring and ask if there is cause for concern or whether it can wait til Tuesday. That is exactly why they have a surgeon on call. And you will feel much more relieved no matter the answer.

 i had it the first couple bowel movements i had after surgery .. i was told it was blood from the surgery finally making its way out .. but everything you been thru i would get yours check out to be on the safe side .. i hope things start getting better for you 

I agree call the on-call MD.  I am a nurse, but with this issues you have been having, it is concerning to have blood in stool. 

I definately agree with everyone above.  Call the on call surgeon.  With everything that you've went through I would see what he says about it.  I'm hoping you a full recovery soon.

please dont wait - call your surgeon.  I have suffered severe complications from waiting too long and almost didnt lift to tell about it. Please call ASAP - even if it is at 4 am.  It is your life.
