Multiple Sclerosis and RNY
I haved MS. I was officially dxd in 2006, but had symptoms for a few years before that. I had my RNY in 10/2009, & it didn' t affect my MS at all. Now, my doctor considers my MS to be "mild". I haven't had a major exacerbation for about 4 years. The main problem that me & my doctor are concerned with is that if I do have a flare they usually treat with high dose IV steroids. They said it would affect my stomach. They said that if it ever comes to that, they would have to weigh the benefits before treating with steroids. I would have to take prilosec or similar for a week or so before treatment. Other than that, I haven't had any problems. The heat still kills me though! It really affects my vision.

RNY on 06/11/12
I have MS and just had surgery ealier this month. The only thing so far that still bothers me is the heat! I can't walk when it get's like it did today... I am supposed to walk at least 30 minutes a day. Not today! Other than that, I'm still so new out that I don't know of any complications to come..
My RNY!
